It's time to start an another build.

Toyota 2000GT in 1/8 scale with realistic suspension and chassis.

My plan:

-3D printed body
-3D modeled and 3D printed chassis and everything
-1/10 buggy tires (2wd front Pro-Line Hoosier or Scrubs) and custom 3D printed beadlock wheels
-LaTrax Rally aluminum shocks with custom parts
-Locked diff, like in my Hakosuka build
-Custom transmission, kinda like in the Hakosuka
-Dummy engine?
-Some interior details
-Something and something, I don't know yet

I have made the first beadlock wire spoke wheel design. I need to adjust the design bit. Front is not currently working with the upper A-arms. But it's a start though. I have no idea if the wire spokes are strong enough to do any faster driving. They are 1mm diameter, a bit thicker than what 1/8 scale would be. But that's the smallest recommended diameter for SLS printing.

It's me again.
Amazing.
Looking fantastic.
Gets my gears turning on what all those could fit on, and bring the looks of other cars to build.

I would love to do something like this but maybe use a few different materials. Still produce the full 3d model and bring some machining / fabrication in too.

I know you printed the wheels on the Ferrari F1 and they seemed to hold up under testing. Does this spoked design seem to be strong enough for the torque produced by an electric drive system? Will you print in another stronger material once you get this to where you want it?

Those wheels look awesome ::2thumbs The design mirrors the 1:1 so I reckon they will be plenty strong enough........
.........as long as you limit the height of the launch ramp you send it off.......:loll:

The Ferrari wheels are way over engineered, I could have and should have done them much lighter. I might redo them in this beadlock style. But I'd like to think that these spoke wheels are tough enough for actual driving. There's 72 1mm spokes in one wheel and this resin printed test piece feels plenty strong. I'll order nylon printed wheels once all the adjustments are done.

I used original wheel as a reference and in 1/8 scale it matched perfectly with a 2.2 buggy tire and wheel.
I guess there's a 007 reference... I haven't really watched them... only fully the Moonraker... I guess.

I've got some more work done. Transmission and gerabox are about 90% done. Chassis geometry is done. Screw holes needs to be added. I have drive shaft and CVD's on order, I need to check my stash if I have the ring and pinion gear for the diff, I should have. Need to order some pinions for the transmission and a servo saver.
Next I'll model the servo mount.
