Hi all)
I decided to share the process of assembling an unusual car for scale RC.
I have long wanted to build some kind of bus, I was choosing which one. Couldn’t find any similar model in the net - it’s a Mercedes-Benz T1 in all-wheel drive modification.
Scale 1:9
The chassis will be handmade too.
Actually let's go =)

Awesome start!
Looks like you have some styrene experience!
I have never actually bought a 1/10 chassis, I have made mine!

Thanx =)
I've been in RC since 2009
And yes, I have some experience with styrene.

Oooh, ural truck.
It's even a V8 model with the longer hood.
Your previous builds look quite look!
The Mercedes is already turning out very well

Another boxy offroader, cool!

You made some really impressive builds, both the quality of the Mercedes parts and the previous builds. I wouldn't mind seeing more photos of them on the forum. :-)

That Ural is a beauty!

I think I've seen it before, but I never tire of a Ural!

You've a lot of skill, It will show very clearly as this build (The Mercedes) continues!

Some progress with the body and try to custom chassis
Used:
- Injora V2.0 axles
- old rc4wd gearbox
- old rc4wd shock absorbers
- some aluminum and plastic
Perhaps I will change the configuration during the construction process =)

OMG your Merc looks ace :luv: super clean, proportions bang on the cash. Loving it!!

And yeah, I'm all for custom chassis these days - they're sooo much more versatile than the kits - which always seem to constrain interior or engine bay. And aluminium is easy to work with! Following your build for sure!!

Fun fact - my old man had an old 1965 L 406 Kastenwagen which we spent many nights in, cruising the Alps around '73 or so. I'd love to build one some day...

Wow! great model, I've never heard of this, much less seen it.
This kind of retro doesn’t survive in our area.
You definitely need to build this bus, especially since you have such warm memories.

Damn that is sick!!! Keep up the good work
Thanx) I keep on =)
