Making a D110 work truck for a thing.

Great looking service box and boom. It looks to be a huge undertaking, but I really appreciate the extra effort to make all the doors functional and having full interiors for the storage boxes.

Welder and compressor look great too! Going to be a very unique build.
Thank you.

A bit more color.

The metal has arrived for the boom so now I get to be a brasshole

The boom servo is mounted, battery lead from battery box to the esc is run and I have started detailing. I need to make some floor mats for it and get some dashboard clutter organised.
Weathering will come later down the road. I think every truck needs to be brand new for a while

great work! the battery location is clever
The idea is that once I have it all together unless something goes wrong with the electronics or I need new shocks the body and bed never have to come off. Got the idea from a Range Rover build from Canada.

Started cutting and fitting brass for the hoist to get it ready for brazing.
I have also been playing around with making water slide decals for it. The D90s get to be the test beds for that.

Hi!

great job on the work truck! Sure you want to braze the hoist? I made some bad experiences with the brass warping and softening because of the high temperature brazing requires. I ran into these problems on my unimog build. Scrapped the first bed entirely and soldered the second iteration.

I am using silver bearing solder paste so the temps are lower but the joints are almost as strong. No warping yet but fingers crossed.
