Todays journeys...
Make the rest of the rafters for second floor, and hopefully get the big cribbing stilt timbers on the Ore Bin.
Time and energy allowing.
;)
More soon.

Greetings and helloooo
Decided to attach the Bin to the tower and make it a separate Identity.;)
Should help making it two structures instead of hooking it to the large building.
Enjoy and thanks for looking.
On to some wall supports and roof trustees for the large structure.::2thumbs

It's me again.
Picked up some aluminum roof flashing.
8" x 20'
pretty thin stuff too.
Comes in a roll.

Thoughts are to make a Positive and Negative buck/jig for the metal roofing panels.
Stick flashing in-between and form shape I'm after.
Should be a great material to hold up to the elements too.
Hope to have progress and some pics late today on it.

Another page full of updates in no time! Now that's some good productive fun.

It is pretty crazy how the layer of stain brings it to just the right look! It blends very nicely with torch work you did. Beautiful to see the structure on the site now, gives a hint of how awesome things are going to be. And I think the roofing looks spot on! I did laugh though when I saw your forming press  That's pretty funny, but effective.

Thanks fred
Tower was Black washed, Aged Picked Barrel washed, Grey washed and Walnut. ( wood stains)
I want to Go over it one more time with torch in a few areas I'm thinking once fully cured.
Hopefully it don't turn into a towering inferno.
Should be cool to see how father time and mother nature works it's magic on it with the layers.
I mainly wanted it sealed up though to last a few years.;)

I'm really enjoying the problem solving and challenges of the structures.
Been super fun just to create the lil projects so far.
My favorite is still the Bigfoots....I giggle every time I look at it.

My 1997 burban made for an awesome press. Working smarter not harder ahahahaaaa.
I am glad the the tin jig worked.
Only learning curve is ...Cut the material to length first so it don't crimple on the ends as bad.
Thinking ill go ahead and make a bunch for the large building now.

Thanks for looking and following along.

It's me again.
Almost changed my mind on using the Aluminum.
But now that I see it on.

And with a little Grey and Brown Primer.
I'll seal it with a flat clear.

Should work for this guy.::2thumbs

Looks good. When you first showed the roof, it looked kinda it of place to me. But now it is looking great.

Those buildings are looking sharp!
The press seems effective. I kinda wonder if fully corrogated roofing might look more the part than the roof with flats?

I run out of time on the little building yesterday.
Only had a couple hours to whip something out.
It will most likely get a wood shake/shingle looking appearance that's falling apart too.;)

Roofing the structures take about as much time I'm finding out as building them.
Lots of little detail's to finish up too on everything built so far.
I need to build a chute for the bin and get a cable wheel on top of tower still are just a few examples.

No clue what todays journey's will be yet. ????????
Thinking a load of rock first thing, and move some more left over dirt to blend things in more.
I need to start seeing what's out and about for ground cover plants that are under 6 inches too that like partial shade.
So much to do....so little time.
