No way I would have started, let alone halfway know what I’m getting into, without the fine SBG members. Bought a Mojave buddy to put on the Phoenix chassis. Fingers crossed…got some cheap wheels to see the size, going for a scale look…Shrinkrc body Mount

Sanded an and primed the cab. Bobbed the bed but I used my dremmel instead of a saw😢 deformed the plastic a little but not as clean as I wanted. I’m debating whether I want to use the bed or not🤷🏽‍♂️

Going to use my Methods on 1.9 Hyrax tires. The tires that are on them now are a little too big. Taping and making masks with my Cricut as I’m going to paint everything including decals. Out of all the Toyota paint schemes, I like the TRD N2 race car…really not sure if I’m going to use the bed as it’s a day to day decision lol

Really taking my time as I’m airbrushing everything on the truck…been working a lot so my time is limited. The Cricut has been clutch in making razor sharp masks…

That looks amazing!
The paint looks great!

I'm loving the bobbed, long-bed look.

I know how hard it is to stick with small, scale tires, but I have to say that I really dig the originals.
Thank you guys! The hyrax and the methods fit well and look scale. I put a wheel nut in front of the locker hub, with scale hardware and it makes such a difference

😩 Tried to dove tail the bed and destroyed it on accident…did not go as planned so I attached the cage from the Phoenix and it looks good. Also 3d printed Willem Defoe and another head I recognize from somewhere, but they’re gonna be my driver and spotter lol…but I’m gonna call this done. Learned a lot by making mistakes

Making mistakes is the way we have all learned... glad to hear you're not discouraged. Keep in mind that all the amazing builders here started in the same way as you.

Love a hard body on the vanquish chassis. It came out nice...

Thank you! I’ve been in the hobby for a few years but was always afraid of making mistakes and paralyzed myself with fear. Good tools make a difference but have learned from here and the countless errors that I’ve made. going forward I’m confident things are going to look better…
