Got into building dioramas for my models when I was a kid, cars just sitting on a shelf was to boring.. It didn't change when I got until RC stuff, building one for my 24's, and started one for my 10's. Have a ton of ideas, scratch building a bunch, have a few things on order that'll be here in a few days. I'm excited to get it going, hope ya'll enjoy!

Yes!! I like!!
Started my 1/10 scale garage a few weeks ago, I love adding the little pieces to make it look scale.

Thanks guys!! The 24s do have somewhat of a limit before you've gone to far, unfortunately. The nice thing about a diorama for the 24s is that most of the static model diorama accessories will work with them fairly well, at least from my experience, but it's help teach me some things with scratch building and that's always a plus.

Added a bit more to the shop today, I feel like it's coming along, but it's a slow process that I don't think is ever done.

Looks awesome!
Yeah, they do have some limits but as ive made a custom Capra chassis and put all the weight down low, plus 6mm axles and the new generation esc it works awesome. Really damn impressive what that thing can do at its size!

Oh I can bet so! Start going that custom on 10th scale and the price adds up pretty quick! Sounds like a fun rig though!

And just thats why i did the 24, as a broke ass 16yr old i dont have to much choice after spending all my money on motorsports. :)

Jokes aside, i need a 10th scale rig now too

I've had some updates on the shop since April, though, not as many as I'd like... I want to try to figure out how to build a working garage door at some point. But i felt since I haven't been on here in a bit, I'd jump on and update my thread.

Well tonight started with playing with some lights I had laying around, and then it turned into wanting to build a roof, which turned into building trusses. So this is where I'm at, I also designed some "florescent light fixtures" these lights will probably go into so it looks more scale. Things to come are a garage door, a service door and cabinets, and whatever else I can come up with, it doesn't always look the best, but I can get lost in details sometimes..

Did some more work on the shop this weekend, it's starting to look more like a shop than just a plywood box haha.

Got some craft wood and some dollhouse hinges and made some shelves and a cabinet, not sure if the shelves will stay that way or if I'll change them to wall mounted, but they work for now.

Started getting an idea for a garage door, ultimately is like to make it function, but we'll see how it goes

I've got panels in place

I wanted light fixtures that looked like actual light fixtures. I designed them in fusion 360 and printed them, they're not perfect, but what shop is?

I found a roll of necklace chain at the hobby lobby and thought that would look good to hang the lights from the ceiling with, i think it came out ok.

It even worked to put a chain on the harley design welder!

Im not sure if it will stay, but i used heat shrink on bailing wire to try to make cable leads, i feel like there's gotta be something better out there and i need to come up with something to use for the tube from the tank to the machine. All in due time.

Not a whole lot of work done tonight, I got a t.v. printed last night, made a mount tonight and got it hung and made a few boxes, even had a few things to put in a couple. The light fixtures and TV need painted at some point though.

When I see what you are building here, I envy and cry - because I don't have space for a 1:10 scale garage. :(

I once had an episode with a 1:18 scale cars.
Of course I built a workshop. I liked him and I miss him.

A few pictures. Maybe something will inspire you.

Maybe I should take the bed out of the bedroom and build a workshop/garage for my rigs?
That sounds like a plan. ;)

heck ya, thats a really nice build! if i didnt live by myself i wouldnt be able to have half this stuff i have let alone in the house where its at lol. I've been building scale garages since i was a kid with 24th scale model cars, so it seemed only right my 10th scale stuff gets a shop, and with a 3d printer on my desk, it makes it easy to print off any of the accessories i need. i appreciate your kind words though! i'll have more coming as i get things done.

thank you, i try to keep things clutter free, i'm not always good at that, my desk can look like a mad scientist when i'm going to town on a truck, but i try to keep my builds intresting but simple and easy to look at, i'll hide things in them if i come up with cool ways to do things, but i'm not always very good at that either, but i figure if theres to much then it may cover up other things i want seen. thank you for looking!
I love how simple it looks but so detailed. I need to build a scale garage
