Hairba11 does a Mack R spintires build

This is logging truck #3
It’s a KingKongRC ca30 chassis I stretched 120mm





Then I used the ca30 wooden bed from the kit I bought for log truck #2 and a cab I bought which from my research is a circa 2003 SemiJoe build. I’m the 5th or 6th owner.


I got the cab mounts started. I went for a 3 point mount on the cab, and a two point on the bed.
With no extra crossmembers in the stretch I’m getting good chassis torsion




And yes. The angry duck came from shapeways, printed in clear, and I put an amber led under it.

I cut out a battery tray and inner fender from 22ga galvanized duct sheet


Painted it flat black and got the cab sitting on it. No more daylight.

The cab is sitting on a 3 point mount. The bed has 2 hard points and two tension springs.


At full articulation I get pretty good flex
