Default Would you install a Novak Goat

    in a new build?

For those of you that had a Goat, whether the 18.5 or the 21.5 combos, if you had one still, would you run it in a new build?

Obviously the GOAT is not made any longer, but if it was still made today, how do you think it would compare to the newer esc/motor combos?

I really like the 21.5 combo I ran in the late 2000s. And as mammory serve me, (yes I said Mammory) seems it would be on par with pretty much any of the now 'modern' offerings.

That system pales in comparison. It's not going to have the same sort of profiles you might find in most modern ESC's, but it should work just fine.

I wouldn?t use the ESC, hated it when it was new. The motor is descent enough paired with a better ESC.

My mate also ran the Goat in the late 2000s, it it never had any problems.

We did miles after miles with hiking with weighted 2.2s and comp chassis.
He still has it but has not touched rc's in a decade.

Think he ran the 21.5 one..

Myself ran Tamiya TEU101BK esc's, everyone says it is no good, but I never broke one of those.
But the sound from it annoyed me, but that was what I could afford back then..
