    Default Scrambled Scrambler CJ8

Well here we go with another build. Working my way through some of the ones sitting waiting for me to get around to them. Being a bit of a jeep fan, this one Is the holy grail of jeeps to me. Always wanted one in real life but have not been able to find one. There fore I must build a tiny truck one. Found these pics a few years ago and they are the inspiration for this build.

A few yours ago I did some work for Mr Guy and in trade he hooked me up with a cool CJ body. It has been sitting on a shelf staring at me. I finally have decided what I want to do with it. first things first. cut it up HAHA.

A week has gone by since the initial cuts and this where I have gotten to. chassis is pretty much sorted. the important parts in place anyways. body is starting to look like I wanted. some fine tuning to be done to both.

Watching with interest... my uncle's '81 Scrambler (258, 4 speed) is what I learned to drive in. Later got to drive it up Pike's Peak. Love 'em, can't believe the prices they fetch nowadays!

thanks. trying to get it just a bit lower. hoping the stuff I add will weight it down a bit on shocks as I don't want to have to buy shorter shocks.

Well another week has gone by. managed to get in a bunch of hobby time this week.

first up was to get rear shocks mounted properly and back of chassis sorted. made mounts to put in a axial receiver box that hopefully will look like a fuel tank hanging down behind axle.

than onto some of the details on body and get front floor pan finished. fenders took a bit of work but pretty happy with how they turned out.

spent a whole evening making a nice dash and some inner door panels.

next is to make some proper body mounts and then start on some metal bits.

    thanks for looking

    Chrs
