    Hi mate!

Had a set of red super soft laying around.. Used them to wrap around the original leafs..

It makes it harder than only the black ou red, but not so hard than 2 black leafs..

Seems ok to me, but for sure only after testing it.. (y)

Well, every time closer to test it..

    chrome delete at its finest!

all assembled, it looks about ready for scratching!

I'm realising that the dual leafs are a mistake..
Thr travell of the suspention is good, but not great :|

Can you elaborate on the "o-ring mod" for the springs. What is it? And what does it do?

The oring mod is to put a oring on each leaf to axle bolt, between the leaf and the axle.
It alows a bit more movement of the axles.

If you pay atention to the pics you can see the leaf-oring-spacer-axle (y)

this last days haven't got a lot of time on this build, but still....

    started on the wires..

cuted out the lexan for open windows efect..

and test fitted mr Spaulding Sir on the bucket seat, this will be his truck!

also decided that 95mm tyre is not enough for this hilux..
bought a set of rc4wd wrangler mt/r with 106mm and a set of GRC classic 1.9
    lets see if that's it!

got a little more time, wheels are in!

this GRC's even have air valves to glue in!!!

    perfect fitment!!

and for me, the right rear tuck in

think the wheel/tyre problem is solved!

    humps and bumps!!

the wiring and LED system is finished, all the lights conected to the controler, plus reverse lights and a relay for stop light..

made some side plastics to hide the wires coming to the reciver box..

    shape defined with paper

    cuted 2 bits of plastic

and wraped with mate black vinil..

with the body mounted fits perfect!

tryed a few combinations with the leafs and the final result for the first field test is achived!

only the stock leaf with the smaller one on top for reinforcement..
also changed back to the stock LWB leaf rear mounts, the RWB ones were tending to make the leafs crazy

had to make some 2mm spacers to get the transfer case down, also 2mm spacer on the steering link to servo (it was hiting the motor)

for now it sits like this

the home made transfer case mount and guard looks awsome, if i may say!

as far as suspention travel, think this is ok.. adapting only the original pieces and not going crazy with aftermarket parts

as you might noticed, i've mounted the rear plastic original bumper.. removed the awfull corners and heat treated it for better fitment.. not perfect, but will do the job for now..

i'm waiting on my orders of the rc4wd full interior, cchand bed toyota decal, and team raffee bucket seat arness to start on the interior..
