I wanted to keep the hood down for comping. Non latching, sorta flexible. So.. I glued on a bungee under the hood, and I can clip it under the frame to make sure it won't open. Work truck style.

The engine bay is simple, covered all the electric bits, and looks ok. And I made it all, so that's cool.

Here's the business underneath. Simple. Truck ish. I should add exhaust.
And I like magnets. The battery plug us under the bed, on top of the rear axle. But I wasn't fond of it banging around, so I glued a 3/8 ring magnet on the plug, and on the bed. Now it slams on the bed and stays safe above the diff and driveshaft.

More cool magnets.. this is my fav part of this build! Ha!
So the rear bed tray is floating. It sits on the bed plastics and has a rear plastic battery tray lid attached under it. The bed has magnets. The battery lid has magnets. They love eachother, and want to be close. So...
Simply slide the bed tray rearward to breakup the love, and then get battery access. Awesome. Slide it back in for the happy reunion.

I've got the windows in and now added a couple bumper stickers. I do like the mud flaps. Courtesy of Mr.CommaD

I like lights. There's only 6, but they are cool. And brighter than I expected...

Well, I'm waiting on my drivers, but this is a wrap. And it drives GREAT also. The shakedown test will be in 3 weeks at www.ultimatescaletruckexpo.com in Florida, where winter is done pirate style.

Thanks for the comments, here's the finals:
