I love checking in on the progress of this little critter.
    Plus it's a flat fender...

Going to be an awesome rig.
Thank you! Was doing a little filming at the Fix here in PA and tried driving it around a bit. Cruising speed is spot on. Hoping it handles the rocks well.

Made a little more progress today. Got the hinges along with my fingers glued. I think the only major construction piece left before starting on the details is the engine cover.

Jeep. Best I can tell its an early civilian version using a leftover tub. Im not an expert on the early Jeeps by any means, just trying to get it to look like the one in the picture with my grandaddy in it.

I started on the engine cover. First goal was to create a structure which blocked off all the mechanicals. I will make the individual engine pieces and graft it on to this piece. It will not be perfect, but should look pretty good.

I also got in a 3D printed steering wheel from Shapeways the wheel is a little bit smaller than original, but I think it will work nicely.

The last piece of this puzzle, before I get onto finish details is the battery box/cooler. This is going to be a bit bigger than what they would have had back in the day, but I needed the size for a descent sized battery. Here is my inspiration and what I have so far. The box also doubles as a cover for the shocks, since they poked into the body a bit.
