    Default 3rd channel switch question

    Hello duderinos!

I'm a total noob when it comes to RC electronics and I'm wondering if this is the right way to add a RX switch to my lights:
    Buy this switch:

Connect only the white wire to the RX and the red/black directly to the battery or a BEC(lets say the switch and connected LEDs are rated for 12V). Is this usually how it's done if you want the switch to handle more power than you can run through the RX?

Yup, white is signal, and red and black are power. Red and black can go to any power source, white goes to the receiver. Just keep in mind any LED's you add would need resistors to bring the power down to acceptable levels to not let the magic smoke out of the LED.

    The S.
