yeah, the swampers easily take the cake in looks! I'll keep a set of the falkens around for the true scale look now and then. Cheers!

To fit the engine in I installed the servo mount in the front of the frame. Also gave pretty good geometry and clearance for the servo arm. I also routed the motor power wires out of the engine where the coolant hoses would be. I'll make some kind of radiator for the motor wires to go into and finish the engine bay.

With the floor pan mod I was able to keep the battery box area to slide in a full size battery. Still need to finish the electronics to get the wheels turning

It probably won't see much trail but it has plenty of flex

Thanks pera. I couldn't help myself and threw some electronics together and ran it around on the carpet last night. Had a couple tasty celebratory beverages.

Haven't done too much with this project lately. Finished up the wheels and hardware and put new stompers on it. Although I usually prefer scale hubs I like the cleaner look with the center caps. Also painted the header aluminum. Looks much better than scale rusty brown.

look really nice. photos are really realistic, because they look like you just put truck on top of the rocks, not actually drive it there. But truck is nice retro luxie.

Thank you all for the comments. It hasn't really been driven any more than a test run on the carpet but it sure looks nice on the bench. Still looking for a place to permanently stash the esc and receiver. Also want to add a light kit. I just don't really care for all the wires all over the place. not sure, but for now she's a shelf queen.
