Stacked dimes bro! I added all of the weld seams with some epoxy putty. Tedious but worth it.

Now the model is complete and should be ready to paint.

I've never wanted a dumpster so much before.

Youll never look at an ordinary dumpster the same way.

Painted the lid and rust colored the dumpster. Ill seal the rust then try some hairspray or chipping fluid then do top color(s).

    Default Dumpster fire

I sprayed two coats of hairspray on then hit it with blue then another coat of hairspray then green. Once I wet it with a paintbrush I could see blue chips and rust chips.

Now I think should do rust streaking or maybe try to accentuate the details with an enamel wash. Then some oil effects to dull down the green and give it some variance in color. Then some dust. But maybe I should get the decals done before all that so they can get weathered. Oh my.

I never thought i'd say this, bit those dumpsters really look great! It's also awesome to remind the crawlers to tread lightly.

Also for the Dumpster Fire portion: cheap see if you can find any battery operated 'tea lights' or 'jack-o-lantern lights', or prettier fire 'evan designs' makes a really cool looking 3 led fire circuit thing with some wadded up celophane for model train layouts.

Are ya planning on starting a roll-off truck, or the kind that lifts the dumpster up over the cab to dump?.

    ---

Edit: how about making some that aren't as detailed and hosting a Dumpster Dragging trail run? Like a normal comp or trail run, but with a dumpster chained behind the rigs. Ya always find random big trash out in the woods and just wonder how/why it got WAY there.
