Thanks. Played with some more stickers. Have to look closely at the bottom of the doors. Tried some red paint on the mirror bracket. Looks OK I think, but I still need to print some better ones.

So, I've been pondering ways to mount these hubcaps. The wheels have these screw in hubs but trying to get the aluminum hub caps sort of centred has been puzzling. I cut our some disks with holes the right size for the hubs figuring I could glue them in and centre the hubs in the holes. Here's what I came up with. A bit of e6000 and boom!, Robert's your dad's brother. Just need to stick on the VW stickers now.

Had the mirror brackets printed at Shapeways, painted them red and mounted the dirty mirrors on them.

So, I fiddle farted around and made some sliders. After a pile of prototypes and learning how to make PTEG work on my 3D printer I finally came up with these. Made the bottoms smooth to slide over the rocks as well.

I like the stance but those whitewalls aren't holding out very well.

Engine looks good, but needs wiring, exhaust and a cage. Think I need to paint that pumpkin black though.

Sliders. The groove on the outside edge holds the edge of the body. 3D printing some magnet mounts to hold it all together as I write this.

Man this thing is looking great.

I'd make the pumpkins black. The red is taking attention away from the motor.
