    Default Let the gluing begin.....

Well time to start gluing I guess and get on with it lol
Its been on the back burner for a while with Christmas just around the corner and treating myself to 1 of those new fangled 3D Printers , been testing different filaments and print speeds etc and now have I a boat and Viking....

Please note boat and Viking are not to scale

The front locks together pretty well so guess that's the place to start, the white headlight surround and grill wont be glued yet as they're going to be painted black and chrome.

    Default Merry Christmas...

If the kids can play with toys so can I

I love this LRT2, its a work of art, its going to be a shame to get it dirty lol

Ive waited a long time to start this and Its going together nicely, its my first leaf spring build and the Tamiya springs feel nice.

The gluing so far, its nice being able to pick it up and it not far apart

All in all a productive day, and now time for dinner mmmmm

    Default Its awfully sticky !!...

Its amazing what you can accomplish when work doesn't get in the way
Body is pretty much all glued apart from bumpers and grill which will be a different colour and I'm thinking of leaving the front pillars off until the front window is in...

The body sat on the front chassis rails seems like a nice starting point if I move the leafs or axles forward 1 hole, the tyres are a little too big at 118mm so thinking of the RC4WD Goodyear Wrangler All Terrain tyres at 110mm and 6.6mm narrower than the Axial tyres, they will be going on the RC4WD Pro10 steel wheels so need to see how they measure up first...

This looks very good. Nice job with the bodywork. Will be exciting to see the color scheme you choose. Wheel and tire combo seems to fit well. Body mounts will be interesting to see how you solve. This looks good so far. Thumbs up

Those are the most detailed RC tires for sure. And they work amazingly well too.

Default Rainy weekend 3D printing progress...

This 3D Printing is hard, if you have shares in ABS filament then you're welcome, the value must have gone up with the amount I've used
Finally (I think !!) got the rear body mounts, floor pan and inner fenders figured out....
