    Awesome fun little truck.
Thanks 2beers! Nothing groundbreaking but I'm enjoying this truck, really like the hilux body and scx10ii chassis.

A bit of fun with this-

First a new use for a kinder egg (do you get these US/Canada?):

    Off for delivery:

    Or hooked up...

    Bar was some wood:

And yet another use for an SBG sticker, backed on styrene:

    Thanks!

I got lucky in the SBG Chrimbo Giveaway and received a fine box in the post yesterday:

Pit Bull Braven Beserkers and pod lights.

    Much happiness and thanks.

The Beserkers have a nice tread pattern and sparkly bits!

    Here's a comparison with RC4WD Mud Thrashers, both 1.55:

    20190109_232434.jpg

    A little taller

    And a teeny bit narrower.

Here's back to back on the truck, I was worried they'd be on the large side but I think they fill the arches nicely without looking too hardcore for this little Yota:

Next step was to apply mud:

    Success! Much fun was enjoyed!

A couple of updates on this lil yota- I was getting some gear clicking from my original honcho ar44s, so I ordered some parts- two axial ar44 sets and a couple of ssd housings. From these and some spares I put two new sets together- great Axial give you both rear driveshafts and universals in each ar44 pack. Speaking of driveshafts, I've also got a set of Junfacs in this now, love the narrow, scale look of these!

The SSDs have gone on the honcho as that's more performance orientated, may get more at some stage but for now I've painted all the red bits black.

And... had a delivery from Shapeways- Mod19RC has produced excellent inner fenders for this body/chassis combo. I sprayed on some black and here's the result- soooo clean:

Looks like I may be able to fit something interesting in that engine bay now...

Looking, great! Cool to see the inner fenders with an opening hood.
