    Default Mercedes Lak 1924 4x4

    Hi,

Time to start a new build, it will be a mercedes lorry lak 1924 4x4 1:8 scale. I will do it in a traveller/camper version.

Moggy will have a big brother

I just started today the chassis, axial scx10 transmission and Holmes brushed 40t :

Wraith axles i bought for cheap :

2.2 rims with big mud bashers :

    Quick mock up :

Beside my Man kat 1/10 scale :

    And beside my defender :

Here is a real 1924 in fire engine version :

Here are pics to illustrate the spirit i want to give to the truck, i will probably make a wood case which i would like to fill with furniture and equipment, and put an opening roof to watch the life inside :

Yes it is made with resin, here is a pic of the inside :

I bought it from a friend who had it for years. I know it comes from Germany, maybe Schink modellbau or Veroma who makes 1:8 trucks, i'm not sure.

Hi, quick update, chassis is quite done :

The body is fixed to the chassis, 2 points forward, 1 point backward to allow flexing. I'll do the same with the camper cell.

    Cabin flex :

And yes, the truck is huge
