Nylint vintage. Build. Opinions please

So ive been thinking about turning a nylint stamped metal truck into a crawler . I figure the conversion should be ez enough. They have real patina. Is it to far from scale ? Whats the forums thoughts . Ive searched the forum with no hits. What doy yall think.? Kinda looks narrow but would. Be ok with those semi rockwell 2 1/2 ton looking axles i seen on the rc4wd store. Suggestions please

These are pretty tiny bodies. This is why they are not used very often.

As for axles, Losi MRC/Vaterra slickrock and perhaps that new team associated ford truck both have small narrow axles that might work.

Thanks. I looked into the slickrock axles seem they may work. You happen to know of any stamped steel bodys of the same vintage that may be a little bigger?

Well my nylint tow truck arived and. Small factory. wow did i under estimate how small it was. So now my sun has a new lamp.

Did you ever build this ? The Wpl C-14 chassis is pretty close

Cool lamp! It'd be really sweet if you'd been able to do like christmas light bulbs for head and tail lights

The 1/16 'Redcat Everest' rock crawler axles are a little wide but work pretty well under the 1/14 & 1/16 scale stamped pickup trucks, 'Venom MiniGiant' axle widths worked even better back while they were available.

Have you considered any Tonka trucks? From the ones I have they seem to run a bit bigger.

I know it's a long dead topic, but i think i found a better Nylint solution.

WPL 1/16 scale B- or C- series crawler axles with the street tires on steelies from their D12 line.

This size works on Nylint 60s era ford pickups, and a uhaul maxi-mover with squarebody chebby cab.
