    Default MrCommaD learns 3D Printing!!!

I have enjoyed the last few months teaching myself how to design and print in 3D. Though I am quite adept in designing things from scratch, this world of 3D and the software required to render was a learning curve to say the least.
Through many many many hours of hair pulling frustrations, I am now confident enough to post some of my stuff here where I see all the talented builders.

I started small with my first design of a scale brake booster.

I tried several different variations and ended up liking a multi piece design the best.

I also designed other parts that would help my builds achieve a higher level of realism. These included spring perches and leaf spring mounts for a scx10

Canít forget the Series 3 grill!

After figuring out how to design and make the small stuff I set my mind to design more complex scale items like engines.
My first design took a couple months to get right but I was happy with the end result. Here it is, my version of a Jeep 4.0l in-line six.

Now that I had the design done, it was time to print

The parts kept coming slowly but eventually I had everything to assemble a engine

    Almost done
And itís together and looks great in the chassis

Thank you very much. Iíve been on here for a few years. But Iím probably the quietest and slowest builder so I really didnít post much.

Sorry for the delay in response Matt. (I forgot to turn on notifications)
Thanks. The resolution was a lot of tedious leveling and getting the settings just right. I use Fusion 360 for designing.

Fantastic work, I truely love designing on a computer, provides many challenges. As a student I get fusion360 for free, but I've been using sketchup for so long now, that I havent even tried fusion.
Albeit, I've never come across something I couldnt design in sketchup.
