    Correct most were produced with the automatic

    My first NEW car was a 1998 S10 standard cab/short bed with a 5-speed. 4-cylinder.

    I think the regular S-10/15 had alot more 5 speed equipped 4x4's the RPO ZR2's had far more automatic transmissions personally i love the 5spd but offroad theres been a few times where an auto would have been nice

    Same! Except replace 1998 for 2003. I've had three S10s so far. I'd love to find one around here but they are really starting to show their age.
