Thread: Gelande D90 tire suggestions?

  1. #1

    Default Gelande D90 tire suggestions?

Anyone have any input on good scale tires for a Gelande D90?
Looking for a balance of scale and performance, more scale over performance.

    Thanks for any input!

I like 1.9 mtz's/tomahawks/mud thrashers/dirt grabbers.....but if you use rc4wd wheels always use the hex adapters....i have found that tires on it tend to rub the steering linkage unless the wheels are spaced out

I've cut and shut the Trailbuster 1.9 before. It's a good looking tire when reduced a little bit for the Defender.

The Dirt Grabbers that come with the kit really do look the part with the proper wheel.

Also, if you're keen for something different, SDI makes an awesome tire called the Scale Doctor.

Congratulations and hello from another newbie with G2!

I'm running Dick Cepek Fun Countries on SR03 and they fit well together. Maybe a bit wide but I like how it performs.

I didn't care for the performance on the dirt grabbers. They look great & might do alright on a lighter truck. I went through a few iterations and found the Tomahawks satisfied my scale looks category & they performed much better than the dirt grabbers and anything else I tried in that size range.

most of my photos are the original mud pluggers or the dirt grabbers but I have the tomahawks on in this video:

Does anyone have any side pictures of a d90 running rock creepers or mud country 1.9 tires?

Thanks for the link. I tried that but without the word "with" and got fewer results.
