...maybe use the 3800kV and reduce the maximum output by programming the ESC at arround 50%.35% would be about the same power than Tamiya Black sports Tuned. Bit more and smoother power that way than brushed engine! Tamiya sports tuned turns maximally 18300 rpm, 3800kV will allow about 25500rpm with 2S/7.4V
Reaching max torque at arround 10000rpm with the brushless You dont need to worry because this setup will allow max torque at just arround 12500rpm when reducing 50%; cool power when riding heavy vehicle.

Sorry for my bad English, I hope you understood what I wanted to say... ;o)
    Regards Jens

Yes I understood you perfectly :) It must have to do with the fact English is also not my first language hahaha Thanks for helping me find the equivalence with output % versus the sport tuned, I did not have a clue! I also never used the sport tuned lol only it's little brother the torque tuned, I have one in my Lunchbox :)

I have never used brushless motors or ESC at all so I still have to learn about setting it up, I know there is a USB thingy called something like castle link to program those, I'll have to find one I guess. Any chance to find these used, or should I buy a new one anyways?

This looks just amazing. I have the same castle system as you and i can say it has a lot of power and torque. If you are going to use it i reccomend getting a new castle link to chang the settings and update the esc software.

Thanks, yes that will be the smarter idea I think, already looking for one. But why are you specifically saying a NEW castle link? Is there such thing as an old one, or any reason for not buying used? Or is it just that they don't really are available used because everyone with one is keeping it?

I don't know about your country, but where i live castle links are very hard to find used.

Mmm yeah that's what I was afraid :) Thanks for the information, I will look for a new one then, chances are thin I'll ever find one used.

    Hi Frederik,
I have a castle link that I dont use, pity I am in RSA, shipping is going to kill the price I think. Maybe ebay?

Hi Frederik, if you search for 'castle link kaufen' on Google, you'll get a lot of german websites which sell it :). Here in Holland I can get one for around 30 euros from three websites if I want one, in Germany it should be easier to find I think. Keep it up, I love this build!

I can't believe the luck I just had! This morning I was randomly checking the for sale section at scale4x4rc and someone posted one for 15$! I am in Canada so he did not include shipping, but even then it still is a good bit less than buying it new in Canada, and pay shipping and taxes. Thanks for the tips anyway!
