BTW: I gonna respray it this color next winter

2012 Nissan GTR R35 Flare blue pearl

As my goal this summer is the biggest Capri meet in Germany in June, I will do as much as I can this winter, temporary paint it with Plasti Dip, and then take the rest and repaint next winter

    Going to update this soon

Much more progress since last time, but not as much as I wanted it to be at this point.

    Stay tuned

Oh, man 3 years seems to slipped by so fast...

Due health issues, this has been very slow going, but the body is painted now.
In the end I did go for a similar Ford clolor from 2010-2020 mustang called Kona Blue Metallic.
And I'm in love how the color turned out.

Been in storage sine May, but I dragged it out of the unit last week to give it a wash as it was very dirty from both being there with no cover, and dirt grime from when we trailered it there.

    Some pics.

    It needed a wash badly..

Out in the sun drying of the last drops of water before going into the storage unit again.

I will try to get it driveable before next summer.
But my ME illness, keeps me from doing what I want when I want it.
It's a totally gutted body with only front and rear suspension and windscreen and rear window fitted.
So there is loads to do.
My lack of garage is why it is in a storage unit.
But I try to get small bits finished at home so they can be fitted at some point.

But I'll get there in the end

    Thank you!
I'm looking forward to that point as well.
I have not driven it since 2012, so it's about time it gets driveable.
Lack of funds and my health as made this much slower progress than I hoped it would be.

    Thank you!
I do like vehicles that is a bit modified, but still orginal in bodywork.
At shows I tend to pass right by totally stock vehicles as they do not interest me.
But Capri Mk3 S models and 2.8i is some of the vehicles I have no problem leave them stock as they push all the right buttons for me

I also look very forward to drive mine to Speyer in the future for the biggest Capri meeting in the world (been there 13', 15' and 19') which is a small town located near Hockenheim ring.

Mine will be lowered, 16" wheels, polybushed, first running the 2.3 v6 engine and then a tuned 2.9 12v and updated interior.
I allready has new performance exhaust for it, RGA rear spoiler, new 8+9x16" wheels and other items.
Headline was split in various places, my mate is going to make an all new for me in black instead of white.

Seats is going to be black, but with orange/black tartan fabric in the middle which I found under the vinyl covers.

First task when I drag it home will be to weld the floor properly as I don't like how its done now.
Then I need to fit all items so it gets watertight so it can sit outside for a bit if needed.
Sunroof needs a complete rebuild, but think I have the parts.

I hope you are safe as well.

    Richard
