Some styrene work makes a huge difference, also layed down the first coats of candy pink on the cage. For interior detail I used a polished RCGuy bucket seat, parts from a WW2 parts tree and styrene stock.

The rear trunk area was designed to hide the ESC and receiver under it. I chopped up an extra wheel and tire to hide the rear shock tower and give the illusion of depth to the trunk.

Thanks Jason, the brass is getting easier to work with for me and it's very strong when it's all together...soon I'm thinking brake line will just be used for my lower links.

After getting the interior basics done it was time to start taking care of the engine bay
    datsun_stp_18.jpg

I used a hobby knife to score down the hood lines until it was clean enough to snap the hood free.

    datsun_stp_19.jpg

The chassis was planned to hold this flat piece of styrene to be the base of my half engine compartment

    datsun_stp_20.jpg

Parts for the turbo were made from two Wild Willy headlights, 2 Spot lights, a little styrene tube and some mini braided line.
The cam pullies were just from some old model parts

    datsun_stp_21.jpg

The top of the engine is just a box modeled in styrene, color matched to the car and detailed using chrome vinyl and kit stickers

    datsun_stp_22.jpg

Looking at reference images for tuner cars I just grabbed bits and parts that looked looked similar.

    datsun_stp_23.jpg

The belt up front is just a black elastic band

    datsun_stp_24.jpg
    datsun_stp_25.jpg

For the rad and intercooler I used 2 Wild Willy rads glued together and HPI's Intercooler from their tuner set

    datsun_stp_26.jpg

The strut tower brace I made just like I do 4 link bars...threaded rod, brake line and rod ends.
I flattened it in the center, bent it to shape and buffed it up and clear coated it. Now this works to receive the little mini magnet to hold the hood in place. (magnet's stuck in place in image below)

Got the hood cut out carefully using a hobby knife to score along the seams, then snapping it.

    Got some color on....
7 light coats of Tamiya Transparent Pink backed with silver, then black
    datsun_stp_31.jpg
    datsun_stp_32.jpg

Some of the decals are on.
Used the rear window decal from a second body set to trim out the sun roof to give it that factory look.

More of the paint, decals and details in place...used gunmetal and metalic black on most of the accessories.
The stripes were just cut from my leftover vinyl stock

F350 fuel tank, MF plate holder, HPI Tuner exhaust
