View Full Version : RC4WD - 1.55" Mud Slingers

A few of you asked me to review some of the new 1.55" tires from RC4WD when they got here so I'm on it!

RC4WD - 1.55" Mud Slingers
- Love the realistic tread Pattern
- Finally a scale profile tire, looks like a (approx) 36 with a 15" or 16" wheel
Looks like they'll still side hill nice despite the very high sidewall...
- Foams seem to be much more substantial than previous 1.9 foams
- As you can see in the 2nd image a second profile of rubber (crosshatch pattern) has been added to the interior of the sidewalls.
- Even though the tire looks huge in proportion to the 1.55 wheels it's still only 100mm making it slightly smaller then the 1.9 Rock Crushers and Stompers so it still fits nice under mildly modified scalers
- Only thing I noticed was out of scale was the raised RC4WD lettering, but that can either get shaved off or covered in mud to fix the problem fast

I'm happy to add more details after I give them a good run. For now if you want to see them on my Outback Jeep build for a size reference keep an eye on my thread. They look to be a wicked tire so far!!!

Thanks for the review Kev they do look like a nice tire and the good thing is you dont have to jack up the vehicle to allow them to fit right, like you said one of the most scale ones for size
