I figure that 2.2s will look too big considering that they are equal to 22s on a 1/1. My bro has 17s on his truck with 33 inch tires. 1.9s will be alot closer to realistic. I know it's gonna be tricky, but I have my mind set on doing it. That all being said what's the easiest way to go about doing this??

I am sure you can find a rim like that in a 1.9 look at touring car or drift rims you might find something there

I just finished looking at every wheel on towerhobbies and no luck finding these in anything but 2.2 and T-Maxx sizes.

i dont see how it would be possible to reduce wheels at all being they are molded/machined as is. Unless they are some of the solid delrin/metal crawler wheels and you had a lot of machining skill. Keep lookin as there a lots of different wheels available, maybe try http://www.horizonhobby.com/ ? i know there are a few guys on rccrawler that make custom wheels but imagine they would be hella pricey, try http://eritexinc.com/zencart/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=10

What about if I cut the center out of the 2.2 rim and put it in the outer lip of a 1.9 rim? I know I'd have to shave the spokes of the wheel to fit into 1.9.

thats one hell of a project, but doable.......just make sure that the bond between the wheel lip and center is really strong.....

Tell your brother to get new rims for his truck :D!

The only way I would think it would be possible is as you say, cut out the center and glue into some 1.9 rims. Getting a custom set of wheels may not be as expensive as you think though. Might be worthwhile pm'ing some of the wheel guys, like Eritex or Mayhem.

Well I caught a big break in this wheel situation. My bro finally heard about the project and told me to put on the wheels/tires he wants for it instead. He wants wheels like these

#2 also similar to his tires now

#3 closest to his tires now

#4 what he always wanted on his 1/1 truck
