Corycrawler has been narrowing tires for quite a while now, creating new treads as he goes. Since this last set he has done for me was so sweet, we decided to put up a thread on how this tire is made.

I know alot of OG masher doods will be stoked to see these tires, have a drool.

Cory will add some directions on how-to later, right now he's internet challenged....

enjoy

hi guys. thanx 4 the comments, and way to go B, he has a camera & can post pics :beerchug: first of all, its best to start with new tires, theyre clean, and the square edges help with better fittment and gluing. Remove the centre section, cutting on either side of the factory sipe mark, toss that piece, it wont be needed.next cut the two remaining tread sec's off, again to factory indent, then swap them with each other and then glue back onto the sidewall, offsetting the lugs.U will now have two halves of a tire again. take them and glue em up, either with offset lugs again, or match em up for that tractor tire look. do the rest of them then come back to the first one and glue the inside edges, either by flipping inside out and using rubberized ca, or puddle some thin ca and rotate the tire slowly so the glue follows the trail of your cut. Voila, mashers that will shred and maybe even sidehill :luxhello:

Good write up! I might just have to try that.

They look like they came from the factory that way they are so good!

Nice work; like the new tread pattern

What's the final tread width roughly?

yummy :)

i like these alot, and have seen them in person. you did a sweet job on these cory.

the tread width is slightly narrower than a losi claw. i checked them side by side, but did not measure.
