Hey! I've used foil duct tape for years on my boats for trim etc. and have used it on both R/C trucks and even on some 1/25 statics. It's cheap, sticks real good even in water, check out Miss Brittan III its actually sheathed in card stock and covered in foil tape with a clear coat over it. It cuts good with a really sharp knife and scissors. It does wrinkle some on tight curves but it's reasonably flexible if you burnish (rub) it down good and it will stick to lexan.

Right on, great stuff on the boats.
I agree the foil tape works great I used it on the styrene tunnel of the Blazer build too.

Maybe you could post your boats up in the boat section so we can take a look?
Great work man!
