Having functional tools while scale wheelin is pretty important. I see a lot of guys using various things for tow hooks, the first example being very scale but not overly functional as the hook won't fit around most tube work and a lot of guys don't have D rings on there rig, that and when you really get to tugging the chain or the link joining the chain just won't stand up.

The second example is my first attempt at making my own hooks, they are ok but they tend to slip off of things really easy as the hook doesn't come far enough around.

The third example is my latest hook and it works great, doesn't slip off and is super strong. I made them from a stainless rod and heated bent, banged out flat, filed and ground to get it to this point. While they aren't entirely scale I like them better than the standard suction cup hook or various other things people are using. A little side note, I like to use parachute cord for the strap, it is insanely strong, the correct size and comes in lots of colors. That and you can find it at nearly every craft or camping store.

While I was in the shop working on things I fabricated this pull pall as well. Anyhow just thought I would share with you all what I have come up with.

Cheers!!

Looks nice. The hooks and the pull pall. I have the same solution for the pull pall ring. I think it's the one that looks better
