I wasn't thrilled with the bumper offerings because I wanted to go later model D90 and do something a little different. Initially I was going the route of 3D printing but I had to rely on others and I'm impatient, so I made my own. Here's a short build...

This is a pic from google that I wanted to duplicate. Like my schematics?!

I started by building up layers of 2mm black styrene. Knowing is was going to get scratched I figured with black wouldn't be as obvious.

Then filled the imperfections. I used Glazing and Spot Putty rather than mixing hardener/filler and it was very convenient.

Beveled the edges and drilled holes to match the stock bumper.

Then a little Tamiya TS-6 and we're ready to roll. BTW, the head light protectors from RC4WD are terrible at best.

I was thinking about getting the headlight protectors. What makes them terrible?

Looks like he got some faulty pieces. Or broke them perhaps.

They're very flimsy, but I don't actually consider that to be a negative. I like how they bend. Adds realism!

How thick did you end up making this bumper? I'm also curious how you did the beveled edges. Special tools or by hand
