My issue was with the sidewalls being to high using a similar setup (HPI Vintage tire with the sidewall sitting over the edge of the wheel) as the rear of my project ... On the left below. I needed to create a wheel with the center similar to a Vette/Camaro rally wheel that would allow me to mount a smaller sidewall Cup Racer tire on it.
This is what I figured out... On the Right below

Each wheel requires two, one Street Jams wheel and one HPI Cup Racer wheel (3mm offset)

The front and rear beads glued into place

I'm not sure I followed what happened here. Yput a Cup Racer tire onto a Vintage wheel? Are you able to clear it up for me... cuz I have visions of Vintage Wheels on my Cup racer, but the rubber is too huge. Also, is the Vintage donor wheel a 26" or 31"
Thx

The inside and outside beads were taken off of the Rally wheels (wheel was also narrowed from its 26mmm)
The inside and outside beads were carefully removed from the cup racer wheel and reattached to the Rally wheel.
This allows the special cup racer tires to be installed and removes the high plastic sidewall on the Street Jams wheel

Fine description. It's just that your mod is so clean that in the first picture, I thought I was looking at 2 stock wheels.

Looks really nice!
What kind of glue did you use?
