This will be a shelf queen, hoping for a 80T motor for "cruising"

reference picture I took at a local car show some months ago

I never realised how useful GT5 could be for taking reference pictures

some parts have been ordered to test the stretched tire look and other things

wheels and tires arrived, I went for the M-chassis tires as I thought they would give me that "stretched" look but it hasnt gone well, maybe if I put some foam into them they may puff out abit

GT5 works good, I also use Forza 4 as it's even more detailed for graphics.
I've saved plenty of paint schemes this way.

Love the wheel and tire combo dude!

Man! I love those tires on the right (B). Are you willing to share the source?

Oh Ive never played forza but heard good things about it.

Think I'll be using the "B" combo just looks better, might try to sort something out later on to achieve the "stretch"

When I first seen them they blew my mind how good they looked, They are Ansmann Racing ART-S Tyre, they come in sets of 4 and are pretty cheap from where I got them here:

I had to google that, does the Harlequin mean multicolored? I'd love to see it

Mindblowing indeed! Thanks for the link. Do you know the approximate durometer (hard/soft)?

No sorry I dont, but if you've used the M-CHASSIS 60D Radial tires, the Ansmann's are quite abit softer, in rubber and foam. Hope that helps

Yes, that totally helps! Thanks again!

No problem :)

The body arrived today, I'm very happy with its quality, as I ordered it from a small company off ebay I didn't know what to expect. Also got a MK1 golf shell, need to find a chassis that will fit it, its 1/12th I believe.

also I realise this is a photo fail as the body is clear

In the process of building most of Justin's car for him, I had to shorten his Tamiya M03's wheelbase by a few mm to make the MK1 fit as seen in picture 11 of this page:http://scalebuildersguild.com/forum/showthread.php?17645-Man-Overboard-VW-Golf-Mk1/page4
All said and done though, the little car actually has a great scale size in the 1:10 world.

wow that's an awesome thread, I think that will have to be the chassis I use then, thanks! :)

I was putting off buying a brand new TC4 chassis as I was relying on eBay to show me some goods, and it did, got a really good deal, atleast I think I did. Here's the list of items in the sale:

"- 3Racing carbon chassis conversion
- original Associated chassis
- set of Yokomo drift wheels and tyres- only used on carpet
- set of Ansmann drift wheels and tyres, well used on tarmac
- HPI Nissan 350Z bodyshell in very good condition
- Mazda 6 touring car shell custom painted in very good condition*
- Mazda 6 touring car practice shell- well used
- a handful of spares
- Trinity Green Machine 3 brushed motor, good used condition and excellent for drift!"

I got this all for 64 which is around $100? And to buy a new TC4 without wheels or even a bodyshell would cost me 140 which is around $220?

So yeah, pretty good deal!

And I forever appreciate it sir. Don't you ever forget that.

I get my place on Friday-- once I'm moved in and settled, I'd love to have you over.

Chassis arrived yesterday, all I can say is carbon fiber is so sexy :hitit:

When it arrived I threw my wheels on, put camber on and adjusted the shocks, the wheels have too much of an offset for the Golf body, so new ones will have to be ordered. Also the 350Z body looks good, if I see another TC4 on ebay for a reasonable price I will might get it and have this chassis as a drifter with the 350Z body.

Mk2's look amazing when they're screwed all the way down on coilovers, I would love one but insurance over here is a major problem, lucky guy :)
