Here's what I'm working towards, using my XXXs Chassis.
Just gathering the extra parts, started trimming the bodies last night.
Using 2 HPI bodies to get all of the decals and panels I need.

A stunning build.......I love those cars!
So what is gonna happen to Subaru in 2009 if they are not in WRC? That is all they have, IMO...best advertising they ever had. Who the heck is gonna want a Subaru in the younger age groups without seeing the Subaru rally cars??
Allways liked them too, If I was going to buy an import it's top of the list for sure!
I didn't realize they're doing WRC anymore...agreed, aside from safe grocery getter style ads what else is there to push towards the tuner market?
I'm living in the past anyways...
I've got a few sets of Yokomo light buckets on the way for this and the other build. I'm thinking of doing a removable light bar for the hood too.

not sure if I should be talking about the oneway on this link, but whatever...
most guys from what I've heard, don't think the one way is a good thing for the rally. I've never tried it however. I had two open diffs when I did have my rally car and that worked pretty good. my guess would be the lack of control for braking
Probably right...good thing I kept my old parts...
Getting my stuff together, just picked up my ESC

I don't know if you know, but you will need to modify you front suspension arm a little bit to be able to have more travel to the bottom.
If not, the carrier will stop the travel by touching the transversal bar in the arm.
Hmmm, took a quick look...
Do you mean trimming the middle portion of that lower control arm so it doesn't hit the frame when it moves down?
With the suspension a bit higher are the dogbones/driveshafts long enough?
I'm going to snap a few pics and post them up, maybe that will help.

Okay, now I see what you mean Joel
I don't mind modifying the parts because I'm now putting all of the plastic components back on the car...especially the chassis. The graphite version is all open on the bottom (less than ideal o for offroad)
When I unscrewed the lower portion of the shock it does have more travel but it's limited by a small bumpstop. I'm wondering that instead of altering the lower control arm maybe it's better to trim the tab off of the bumper/frame component instead. This way nothing gets weak...what did you do on yours?
Also I like your idea of limiting my 70mm springs with bushings inside, I can control my ride height a bit more.
Not sure if it's realy necessary or not but I ordered the XXX4 Slipper Clutch today.
Is it really needed to take the strain off of the drive line parts or more of a traction control?
Thanks for the help guys!
