    Default Painting Sugru?

    Hi,
I'd like to know if anyone of you tried to paint Sugru with success?

Still had some packs of Sugru in the fridge (won't buy more, far too expensive) and thought, I'd use Sugru to fill the edges of a China 2dr Jeep windshield frame.
Worked quite well, but nevertheless no good idea.

Tried to paint it two times, first time primer with airbrush, no success - second try primer with hairbrush… - then removed the Sugru, put pieces of Styrene to the edges, sanded, ... and painted.

I used Vallejo primer, Tamiya paint and flat gloss.
But the colour (primer) did not stick well, it peeled off like skin.

Is Sugru "not paintable" or was it a problem with the primer?

    Thx,

    Walter

Sugru contains silicone and the only thing that will stick to silicone is more silicone. That is why the paint just peeled off, it could not bond to the surface of the Sugru.
