Yea thats something I need to fix, the ball studs don't quite clear the bulk heads, so I need to recess them ever so slightly, as well as design up some longer ball stud extensions on the knuckles.

    But thank you very much!

Thanks Matt! (my names also Matt)..

Honestly, it really isn't rocket science and I'd say my 'skills' are merely just being more patient than creative.

Ive got 2 more finals next week, and then I can continue on this build.

at some point in the future i will get a printer. but my biggest problem is computer room is right next door to suns room

that and when i sit infront of computer i end up with one screen playing you tube, another screen doing downloads and the thrid screen i end up playing games.

this is also my rc room so im limited.

but i still want to see more.

o yeah and Matt our name is every where???

Well I spell my name as Mathew, with only 1-t in it...

Getting a 3D printer vastly expands how creative you can be, you become limited by your ability and not your supplies. Thats why I like it so much, you're forced to learn and troubleshoot.

I got my anet a8 from gearbest with the clone e3D v6 hot end relocation Kit and a couple other spares for like 300 (cad) shipped. I've had it since december.

aaa now see im a double t kind of guy.

now if the account will allow it (my farther in law) the business will buy the 3d printer at some point.

and hopefully also pay for the software.

any progress on this little build?

You can run free software, its enough to get your feet wet into the designing aspect of 3D printing, so that helps cut the cost down. And if you order a Kit version of a 3D printer and DIY then that can save you a bit of dough too.

And I just finished exams today, so I will be starting to work on this now.

Alright so little update on this. I ditched the belt system, unfortunately. Running 2-6mm belts were just taking up too much space, easily 1.5cm of my chassis width and with the larger esc, I just want happy with the layout, nor about having to spice the belts together.

So went ahead and designed a gear drive system, nothing special about it, minus the cooling system I designed. This new motor gets very hot, very quickly and I do not have a heat sink for it, so I am trying something.
