    Default Series II Land Rover

Here is a build I finished right before starting the Scout II. I wanted to make a Land Rover which was different from all others out there. This is why I chose the ones with the headlights inside vs outside.

Happy to see good pictures from well executed and detailed build! Nice blend of different materials.

Just curious, how did you make the hood and the roof?

Thanks, I really had a lot of fun building this one.

For the roof, I built up the edge and then contoured it back. Then I stretched a thin sheet on top[ and bottom. The drip edge was also separate and attached to the body. Once it was all sanded smooth and painted, I glued the white cap portion onto the drip edge portion.

The hood was just one one sheet of thicker material heat formed around a bucket to get a large radius. I then added strips to the edge to build up the thickness. This was then sanded back to give the profile.

A great build. Did you make the chassis with the leaf springs?

This is just a TF2 base. All I did was an axle swap to, yes you heard me right, lower the truck.
