Default Tamiya Ford F-150 FlareSide with dropbed, interior and mech.window opener

    Hi guys,

I want to show you my modification of a Tamiya Ford F-150 FlareSide body (aka Blackfoot).

That was my first try to mod an ABS body

    Here is my base

    I removed the ugly paint

    and cut a little bit

Than I built a new bed from polystyrene

    Put in some wood

    Made the tailgate movable

    Do some painting

    Created new tail lights

I hope you like it to this point

Very nice work, the opening tail gate with chains is sweet !

    Thank you.

Here are some other ideas for this body

A sliding rear window made from acrylic glass and polystyrene

Seal is made of foam rubber

I like this Tamiya body a lot. Which chassis are you going to put this on?

At the moment I think, an ECX Barrage would fit very well

    Or a MST CFX

    The seat

    The mechanical window opener

    Self made steering wheel

    The new clear windscreen

And a dashboard (just my first self made try ...)

That's your first try at a dashboard??!?! Well, that's an amazing job.

All around, this is a beautiful job. This would look right at home on a MST-CFX chassis.

Nice work! I have been contemplating chopping up my old Blackfoot's body to do something similar, to put on my newly-built Barrage. I think you just inspired me to do it. I hope you don't mind if I "copy" you...
