Default The good old boy - Tamiya Sand Scorcher with interior built by madsven

    Hi guys,

I want to show you my new rebuilt of an old Tamiya Sand Scorcher

The base was a Sand Scorcher in a very bad condition. I kept it from landing on the trash

Unfortunately I have no pics of that barn find...

I bought a few parts from the re-released Sand Scorcher to complete the old boy.

I took the wheels of the FAV

My so-called ruckus box (german: Krawallschachtel) should get a pretty brother

First, I made inner metal fenders

Next step was a ground plate for the interior (black poly styrene)

    Stay tuned

    Here are the next steps

    My selfmade dashboard

    Add some filler

    Glove box can be opened

    Shift lever and handbrake lever

    Only a few instruments

    Stay tuned

That's a really nice touch, the gauges in the glove box. Been meaning to put an interior into my Sand Scorcher for ages, and you're motivating me to get it done...!

Nice job rescuing an old Scorcher from certain doom! Details look great. I like the gated shifter.

I think every Scorcher should have a dashboard because it looks better
