    I hope I don't sound presumptuous here man (I'd place your skills far above mine!) But I think your grill is better than the vaterra. I think the only thing that's throwing you off is it not being set at an angle heading down towards the wheel well when viewed from the side. I'm positive you were already gonna do that, I'm just saying that for now I think the 90 degree angle is creating an optical illusion.

    This is a great build already.
    How do you glue styrene to wood? And can you sand them together?

    Great job on this build. I admire you working with wood. My only use for wood is the fireplace. I just canít wrap
    My head around something that moves and changes and is unique for every piece. Anyway, great job.

    What wood do you use? I have used cedar: was to hard to sand and dremel. I also used tight knot pine: to many knots, doesn't sand to well, and too soft.

    He uses MDF. No grain or knots to worry about.
