Many of the issues you are discovering are covered many time over and a quick Google search should give you a list of solutions and ideas.

In regards to the suspension, there are springs in side the silver shocks. You can remove those for a softer ride. However, if you do that you will need to use a longer shackle to prevent the stock shackle from locking out at full compression.

You will also note the stock location of the front shock only allows a very small amount of up travel. Swapping to the G2 Shock towers and using a longer shock is a great way to correct this.

I look forward to seeing how 'Skunkworks' comes together.
Thank you for the warm welcome!

Indeed the issues faced are common 'new TF2' problems. I have googled extensively before purchasing the TF2 and am aware of the 'must-do' mods.

However, facing the problems personally gives me a greater appreciation of the parts I purchased such as the G2 front shock hoops.

SKUNKWORKS build will be a slow process as I plan to really study how she drives and behaves before making modifications.

An expensive hobby will only get more expensive if you buy the wrong parts or worse - parts that you don't need!

The paint has been laid on Skunkworks. I shall let it cure for 24hrs before laying on the flat clear coat.

Now I know I said 'Gunmetal Grey' in the past few posts, but I checked my store before dropping by to my LHS and realised I had a few cans of Gloss Aluminum so I figured "Why not?"

    Really happy with the outcome.

    Meanwhile here are some photos

Blacked out her door and bed handles! SKUNKWORKS is all fixed up!

Don't have the right tools and materials to do the weathering and decals so this will have to do for now.

Brought her out for some trailing fun! Pictures and a new video coming soon! Stay tuned!

My TF2 used to be silver many moons ago, so I'm definitely a fan.

Yes! I'm loving the contrast of the black against the silver

Thanks luckland! This will definitely be a long-term project! I plan to really study how she drives and behaves and make necessary changes from there!
