    No harm no foul!

So I put together the upper sections of one of the doors this evening, in the spirit of shooting for the next level on this build I went for working slidey windows! Happy to report they work a treat!

I was thinking all week at work how they would go together and when I finally got some time it all just fell into place!

Some of the brass work edges are a bit untidy still and I'll need to clean up some of the joints when I can get out to the shed, but it's nice to have it coming together. Thank goodness it's only a 2 door.

I'm planning on putting a strip of styrene channel on each leading edge to make it even more realistic but I need to go purchase some!

It's awesome Love working stuff on a truck. Scale is all about anything that's not the same size as the 1:1. What you're doing is realism, replicated at scale, and (to me) is the most gratifying thing about making tiny trucks. Really, really cool stuff man!

Spent a bit of time today putting the first door together, and throwing a bit of paint at it.

The top sections of the doors will be removable, like the real thing!

I'm happy with the color scheme I think!

    Tiny update.

I actually have pretty much finished the other door, but took no photos of the process as it's obviously much the same as the other one!

I did however hit the hobby shop for some small styrene channel, and installed it as the slider frame. Looks much better than drawing it on!

Ha ha know what you're saying - photos NEVER do the awesomeness justice. Seeing something epic in the flesh doubles the epicnessness

Well the other door is done!

I decided to sit everything together and see how it was progressing... I think there's a truck in there someplace.

I'll try to put it together a bit more square though in the end...
