Wow, I'm just now reading this thread... it's so rad!!! Oh man, the bar work, the driver and the engine... so much win!!

I think the darker cage and blue combo work very well together.

I can't wait to see it all finished. Well done!

Hello everybody and thank you Lespaul4x4 and BadWagon for your kind replies.

Not too much new but I decided to build a new bonnet. The old one was a bit too narrow (who the hell cut that?) and was squeezing the sidewalls of the tub. Furthermore I wanted it a bit shorter and with more structure, more drama ;o)
Color still missing but this is what I got so far:

Sorry for the bad contrasted photos, I promise some new ones once color is on.
    Thanks for watching.

    Regards Jens

Hello freaks and thank you BadWagon for your interest and replies.

Waiting for delivery of some parts (some shapeway details like steering wheel, extinguisher etc), light blue metallic color for the bonnet , steering servo, stiffer Springs. Cant decide which way to go with the fuelcell in the rear: Cuboid or barrel-shaped, not sure how to fix it to allow easy access to the cables below. Or screw it into the car and keep the seat removable or tiltable instead to access battery and cables... Well, I'll keep you updated! More "real" updates soon!

    Regards Jens

    Hello girls and boys,

some first outside photos of the unfinished car. At least I took a desicion what kind of tank to use and where to put it. Not its final color yet but it is there from now on. Filling pipe and details missing, too.

The cylindric tank keeps the rear open and airy and leaves some space for a mock battery underneath.

I like how the dashboard turned out so far, I hope it will come together nice with steering wheel and instruments.

I like the new bonnet, too. Paint job far away from being finished; Just sprayed on the little rest of blue to get some contrast for your photos. The oil cooler air intake later is going to be covered with some little lid.

Finally not completely happy with the seats. Some more new maybe?
Weight btw is 4590g (10.11lbs) RTR. Heavy metal! ;o)

    Thank you all for watching!
    Regards Jens

I like the direction it's going. The tank choice is great, and fits the build really well.

Looking forward to the next update.
