    Default Scratch built Rat Rod

    Hi guys

been thinking on this project for quite some time, and now i decided to go for it. Going to try building my own scratch built rat rod.

have these two bodies in mind....

and both drawn to correct scale, but not yet decided which one the build... I like both shapes. Engine was donated by a friend, and came from a New Bright toy.

For now i focused on making a chassis for it...

Used a Tamiya semi front axle with leaf springs, scx10 rear axle, scx10 transmission and scx10 chassis rails.

here is what it looks like so far...

comments and suggestions are welcome ;-)

today sorted the steering servo.... plan was to do it inside the cab, but figured out it actually fits infront of the engine, so i went as low as possible, so it's easy to hide later with radiator grill. What do you think?

it's alive :-) ...got the chassis rolling and functioning. Placed esc and receiver inside the engine. Will find a good place for the battery later on, when i get the body ready.
