That's looking great! I love it! Very interesting looking truck.
So cool and so aerodynamic! Sweet build.
I will leave "The Brave Little Toaster"-references for next time.
Now that's a loaf of awesome.
Nice blocky jeep!
Thanks very much fellas!
Some nice progress has been made of late. Have been working on the front.
Started by sanding down the curves.
Next was to add an outer couple of layers of 0.5mm sheet with various details cut out.
The plan was to do the same across the top to give a nice smooth surface of the bonnet. However, when I bent the sheets over and glued, disaster struck. Seems the sheets are too thin and glue (solvent) is too strong, causing the sheets to crack. After it happened on one side, I tried heating the other side to aid in the bending, but applied a little too much heat and the sheet buckled a bit. So now that side of the bonnet has some nice "dents"! I will file down the cracked parts and use some filler, but they'll probably act as a good base to do some weathering. Rust will make that look good!
This crack here has been filed down nicely.
The other side is worse.
But despite that, it's turning out pretty good in my eyes!
Added the centre piece of the bonnet with just a little bend added using Scaler's method of working it in by hand. Thanks mate, it's surprising what you can bend just by hand!
Still some work to do in tidying it all up, but I'm pleased.
I'd agree with you Shannon, those are pretty minor issues to have to deal with. Overall, the look is spot on. Bust out the filler and you're good to go!

Way to go my Friend!!!!!
This thing is going to be great.
Looking great! I've never seen styrene crack like that, unlucky! I gotta say I kinda like the pattern of those cracks though... looks like a dodgy 1:1 bog job gone bad! maybe you can work it in?
Tough break on the cracks. It helps to bend by hand first even just a little before adding solvent. Especially with thin material. Keep up the great work!
