Default do i cut and stretch a lexan body or cut down the frame rails?

i like the tamiya suzuki, but i want to use the body on a sawback chassis. now my question is what is the best way to cut and stretch a lexan body? i have seen a few ways online and many glues that have been used. i either need to add an inch to the body or take an inch and a half out of the frame. any help or insight would be appreciated. i would like to cut the body but am a bit nervous about which glue to use and its going to be a c-1 runner so it needs to stay together in a crash. now onto the opinion part of this.. will it look silly if i lengthen the bed? i think im building a useless truck if i cut it down to a 9" wheelbase...
