It's been too long since I updated this one!

Our state group has a display/state championships in November as part of a 1:1 4WD show. This is my motivation to get a few of these half done builds finished!

This one is nearly done, I've just gotta do a rollbar, steering column and find a place to stuff some electrics...

    A touch of Mexico!

A nice dummy winch from Shapeways..

It sure is! I just gave it a little tidy up, painted it and added some cord around the drum. I still need to add some line out and a hook.. Ilike that it's something different from the usual look and I didn't want a functional winch on this anyway so it fills the spot nicely.

    I'm dragging this one back!

Working on my XJ has inspired me to get this one finished too.. There isn't alot left to do but a couple of tricky bits were enough to bring the build to a bit of a halt.
One issue was the output shaft on the HPI gearbox being 3mm and the transfer case being 5mm. In the end I made a sleeve up that was a press-fir in the coupling and then drilled and tapped the clamping hole through that to lock it all together. This solved that problem.

The next thing that needed attending to was a cage. No Jerp should venture out without protection!

So out with the brakeline and the bender!

It's a pretty simple cage but I think it suits the look of the build.

Liking your style with Jeerps. Taking notes here and borrowing your innovations.. And I dont mean that interior roof upholstery!
Good work and nice to see some progress with this!

Man I love this build. It just keeps popping back up and the additions are just perfect.
