    Thank you very much!

    Started on the spare carrier.

Got the rear bumper tacked together.

    Checking the fit.

Rear bodywork is done, and primered.

Doors are finally glued. Just have to put in the windows.

Bed is all in, just have to touch up a couple things.

Busted out the tig and finished welding the rear.

Starting in on the front bumper mount.

So it's been a few days since I updated.
Gone all weekend camping at a family reunion.
Most of what i've been doing is little stuff. But here's the pics of the bigger stuff i've gotten done.

Remember that piece of steel under the winch? Now with more lines.

A whole bunch of cutting, punching, and bending later.

Had to make the hitch hole on the front bumper. Took 1/4" key stock in a vise with a piece of 21 awg steel.

Added it all to the front bumper i had already made, and it's starting to look like something.

Cleaned up most of the rear bumper. Still gotta weld on the mounting brackets.

    Finally, got the Optimas done.

Have a few more touches on the body. Gotta mount the tube work, and figure body mounts. Then paint, wiring, steering, detail painting, and final assembly. Building one of these really is a lot like building the real thing.

    Evergreen #229 which is 9/32" or .281"

I'm selling the batteries as well, just haven't had a chance to add them to the vendor section. I'll also be selling just the decals for those who can make the batteries themselves.

I feel the same way about you styrene guys. It would have taken Rich a day or two to do all the bed work, it took me almost 2 weeks.

    More done, getting there anyway.

So I got a bunch of light buckets from my buddy Jason, including 2 of the small oval axial lights. But there weren't any lenses. Plus i need to make taillight lenses, so I got looking around.
Saw a stack of cd's from the yard sale last week...

Time to bring out the dremel.

Now the dollar store emery boards.

Of course I looked and realized I had the taillight shape wrong. So a little more cd case. Much better, and got the little lenses fit.

Got the rear bumper mounted. Test fit with all the accessories.

Added struts and d ring mounts to the front bumper, and mounted it as well. Put the body on to test fit with all the accessories.

And the rear bumper. It's actually angled downwards slightly in these pics.

Finally starting on electronics and wire routing etc. What a mess lol.

I'm starting to see that light at the end.
