Default GCM CrossCanyon Scaler Chassis for Coil Springs

Got link questions about the CrossCanyon combo kits? Check out this link here!!!

GCM CrossCanyon Scale Truck Combo kit Link Here

This total kit will let you convert a Axial Scorpion or AX-10 crawler into a ready to scale truck in no time. All you have to do is swap in the crawler rig parts, setup your links to the body wheelbase, add scale shocks, and a scaler truck appears from the bench. These kits are designed specifically to use what you already have to assemble a great new scaler platform.

Each CC Scaler Conversion comes with a pair of CrossCanyon Frame rails, a Delrin center skid plate with internal lower link mounting, a GCM Transfer Case complete kit made from choice hardened steel, stainless bearings, and billet anodized aluminum, a solid billet aluminum frame rail servo mount, and a front transmission plate to mount an Axial trans. All the parts are fully machined and all aluminum parts are black anodized, and each kit includes a full set of black hex hardware to put it all together.

This scaler chassis was specifically designed to bolt up direct to your Axial transmission, but mounted in the nose where it belongs. Add some droop or scale shocks, and you are driving. Each setup allows for multi link suspension assembly, and also works great with MIP and similar CVD drive axles for all positions.

The completed assembly is shown below on these trucks using AX-10 parts for running gear. Some of the available setup options are shown here, and give an idea of the versatile assembly options using these same parts.

GCM Front Motor Mount-Axial Conversion Link Here

Using a transfer case or center gearbox can make it difficult to mount the supply powertrain in many trucks. If you want a front mounted motor, this is the most simple ticket available. There's no way to go wrong with your unique setup. From Multi axle, multi gearcase units right to a simple crawler-to-scaler conversion, we have a motor mount for you.
Offered for custom and scale projects and designed to fit across the rails, this light and super strong multi function part that can be used in many different applications. This particular mount is ready to accept your Axial trans and motor setup and allows you to mount it directly across your scale truck frame rails for that 'real' look and feel. It's a perfect match for anyone wishing to convert your existing Axial stuff into a scale truck setup using a transfer case. Available only in Black Anodize.

As you can see from the above picture, this Axial front mount is assembled on the CrossCanyon frame to have the motor and trans forward of the axle. In the pictures below you can see the mount installed in the reverse position. There's nothing to change except installing the mount in the other direction.
In this case we also show installed a crawl motor as well as a dogbone cup that runs the transfer case.

This setup shown brings the motor and transmission setup down low and towards the center of the vehicle.

GCM Frame Mount Servo Bracket Link Here

This bracket is designed to fit any 80mm wide scaler chassis and support the rails while allowing a solid mount for your steering servo. It's a direct fit for our CrossCanyon scale chassis, but is easy to adapt to just about any axial crawler width frame spacing.
Using a fully machined billet aluminum bracket you can fit your scale chassis for a frame mounted steering servo with ease. The mount is reversible for right or left mounting OR front to rear bias to locate your servo horn in the perfect spot. All units are black anodized and include hardware for mounting.

Shown below is this mount (in silver) using a hitec servo and Axial axles. With the servo mounted above the bracket, the steering shaft angles are nice and clean with this droop setup. Using a sprung setup the servo can be mounted below the bracket and allows a straight steering shaft setup in minutes. This mounting shown below also allows a nice flat section on the front for a bumper/winch mount, as well as making a solid metal front frame section, virtually eliminating all frame flex when steering. It's a brace and a mount in one light unit.

GCM Delrin Center Skidplate Link Here

This center skid houses your lower links internally, and allows the direct bolt on of the GCM T-Case in right or left configuration to keep the drive axles in the center line. You can also bolt the case on to have the axles offset right or left. The Skid is fully machined delrin and has holes in the top surface to accept any M3 size screw, threaded directly into the skid, so there's no screw heads out the bottom of the unit.

This unit is a direct bolt on for the GCM CrossCanyon chassis, as well as anything that accepts the stock axial crawler skidplate, and it matches a stock axial crawler width. Also fits other chassis setups.

Here's some pics of the black t-case mounted on a new delrin skid. The t-case sits on top of the bosses on the skid, and then the m3 screws thread into the skid and it's not going anywhere. And with the bottom smooooooth and the links internally mounted, it's a clean sliding setup.

GCM CrossCanyon scale truck frame Link Here and highlighted on this Crawl Canada Feature Page

This simple and tough frame is designed to turn an Axial Scorpion or AX-10 into a scale truck with little fuss. It's CNC machined (like all of our products) from billet hardened aluminum and black anodized.

The newest versions of these CrossCanyon frame rails now have a second set of top link mounts in the front section allowing for a super easy link setup when using the
Scaler Combo kit also from GCM.

The newest versions of this chassis also have a new black logo on the side to easily identify them.
